Other add-ons: what works together and what can clash

This list is based on what our code actually touches. "Handled" means our code already checks for that add-on. Anything not tested in game says so.

Works together (handled in code)

Add-onWhat happens
TomTomGuidepost and Beast Core use TomTom's arrow when it's installed (setting: Use TomTom when installed). They only add or remove their own waypoints, never yours, and never touch TomTom during combat. Without TomTom, the built-in arrow is used. You never get two arrows.
QuestieOptional (off by default: Use Questie data when installed). Guidepost reads Questie's data for quest-hub steps, class filters and translated NPC names. It never changes Questie, and it doesn't read it during combat.
ElvUIBeast Core detects ElvUI and can match its font size (Look โ†’ ElvUI (detected)). It only reads ElvUI; it never changes it.
Minimap button add-ons (LibDBIcon buttons)Cartographer can optionally gather other add-ons' minimap buttons. It's off unless you turn it on.
Add-ons that ask for the minimap shapeCartographer reports SQUARE while its square minimap is on, and passes the question on to any other add-on that answers it, so buttons from other add-ons line up.

Possible clashes (by what they touch)

AreaOur add-onWhat we doWhat can clashWhat to do
Minimap shape and sizeCartographerRestyles Blizzard's minimap (square by default), only out of combat. Turning it off restores Blizzard's.Other minimap restylers (SexyMap, ElvUI/other UI suites' minimaps)Use one. Turn off Cartographer minimap in settings, or the other add-on's minimap module. Pending A SexyMap check isn't in the code yet; the default when SexyMap is loaded is still being decided.
World map and the M keyCartographerOpens its own map on your world-map key (override binding, changed only out of combat). Blizzard's map stays one click away.World map add-ons (Leatrix Maps, Mapster-style), other add-ons that rebind MTurn off map key in Cartographer to keep M for Blizzard's map, or use the other add-on on Blizzard's map.
World and minimap pinsTrailmarksDraws its pins on Blizzard's world map canvas and the minimap. No windows except settings.Pin add-ons (HandyNotes, GatherMate2, Questie, RareScanner)They normally stack fine. If it's crowded, use the icon filters. Untested with each add-on.

Quest guidanceGuidepostIts own step list; can read Questie.Other leveling guides (RestedXP, Follow The Arrow)Run one guide at a time. Auto-accept/turn-in in both will fight.
